# Create an Agent from a website

> Analyze one public webpage to prepare an editable Agent profile and first-interaction draft without saving knowledge or billable engagement data.

Website analysis is available on paid plans when the workspace has a tested managed or bring-your-own-model connection.

## What analysis does

From **Agents → Create Agent**, enter a public HTTP or HTTPS URL, choose a tested model connection, and approve processing by that provider. ContactButton safely reads one page and proposes:

* Agent name and internal description
* Business name, industry, and overview
* Agent role, tone of voice, and answer length
* Welcome message
* Three to six suggested visitor questions

The result opens in the normal Agent builder. Every generated value remains editable and must be reviewed before the owner creates the Agent.

## Data processing and safety

ContactButton applies the same public-host validation, DNS pinning, redirect limits, content-type checks, response-size limits, and safe HTML extraction used by webpage Knowledge sources. Private networks, credentialed URLs, unsupported ports, non-HTML responses, and content-poor pages are rejected with safe errors.

Readable text from the selected public page is sent only after the owner confirms processing by the selected managed or BYOM provider. Page text, prompts, and model output are not captured in logs or telemetry. ContactButton records only safe operational metadata such as provider, model, token usage, latency, and the fact that processing was approved.

The generated draft moves once from the creation screen to the builder using browser session storage and expires after 30 minutes. It is removed as soon as the builder reads it.

## What analysis does not do

Website analysis is not model training or fine-tuning. The Laravel AI SDK provides provider-normalized structured generation; ContactButton owns the safe webpage fetch, extraction, tenant scope, and draft review workflow.

Analysis does not create an Agent, Knowledge source, conversation, action, engagement, resolution, or billing record. To use a webpage as ongoing answer knowledge, add it separately under **Agent Knowledge**, review the extracted content, and publish it through the normal Knowledge workflow.

If analysis is skipped, unavailable, or unsuccessful, choose any starter template and enter the same fields manually.
